BW4TEC Chat Analytics

تفصیل

BW4TEC Chat Analytics is a comprehensive analytics solution to track, monitor, and optimize all WhatsApp click interactions on your WordPress website.

Key Features:

  • Universal Number Tracking: Automatically detects and logs clicks on WhatsApp links in the https://wa.me/SEUNUMERO format. Other formats (such as api.whatsapp.com) are NOT captured.
  • Smart Position Detection: Identifies click origins across site sections (Header, Footer, Content, Sidebar, Floating Button, and Elementor Widgets).
  • Bot Detection Algorithm: Assigns a risk score from 0 to 100 based on page load speed, mouse/pointer interaction, User-Agent, and Webdriver flags.
  • Optional GeoIP Lookup: Identifies City, Region, and Country with local caching via Transients. Easily disable GeoIP in settings for strict GDPR/LGPD compliance.
  • Native Multi-Tab Dashboard: View KPIs, real-time click logs, number-grouped reports, and suspicious IP lists.
  • Customizable Floating Button: Display a high-converting WhatsApp floating button with configurable position and custom pre-filled message.
  • CSV Export: Export complete click logs filtered by date range, phone number, city, or state for external analysis in Excel or Google Sheets.

External services

This plugin connects to external services to provide certain functionality.

GeoIP Lookup (ipwho.is)

This plugin uses the ipwho.is API to determine the geographic location (city, state, country) of visitors who click WhatsApp links.

  • Service Name: ipwho.is
  • Purpose: Resolves the visitor’s IP address into country, state, city, and proxy status for bot detection.
  • Data Transmitted: Visitor IP Address.
  • When: Only when the GeoIP option is enabled in the plugin settings (disabled by default).
  • Terms of Service & Privacy: https://ipwho.is/

QR Code Generation (QR Server — api.qrserver.com)

This plugin uses the QR Server API to generate QR codes for the WhatsApp floating button (displayed on desktop devices).

  • Service Name: QR Server (api.qrserver.com)
  • Purpose: Generates QR code images for WhatsApp links so desktop users can scan and continue the conversation on their phone.
  • Data Transmitted: Only the encoded WhatsApp chat URL (containing the phone number and pre-filled message) is transmitted to generate the QR image. No user tracking data is sent.
  • When: Only when the floating button’s QR code modal is opened on desktop devices.
  • Terms of Service & Privacy: https://goqr.me/api/doc/ and https://bw4tec.com.br/privacidade.html

Privacy

This plugin collects WhatsApp link click data for statistical and bot detection purposes.

Data collected:
– IP Address (with anonymization option in settings, which masks the last octet of IPv4 or the last 4 blocks of IPv6)
– User-Agent (browser and operating system)
– Approximate geographic data (city, state, country) via external API query to ipwho.is (HTTPS)
– UTM parameters and fbclid for source attribution
– Time to click and scroll depth

Storage:
Data is stored in a private table in the WordPress site’s own database, never shared with third parties beyond the one-time geolocation query.

Consent:
The plugin supports integration with consent plugins (CookieYes, Complianz, LGPD Framework, etc.) through the bw4tec_consent cookie and the bw4tec_allow_tracking filter. The site administrator is the Data Controller and must include this information in their site’s privacy policy.

Retention:
Data can be automatically cleaned between 30 and 365 days, as configured by the administrator.

Legal Basis:
Art. 7, IX (legitimate interest for statistics) and Art. 7, X (bot detection) of the LGPD.

Disclaimer: The site administrator is the sole Data Controller and is responsible for ensuring compliance with LGPD/GDPR. BW4TEC provides the tool but does not assume any liability for how the site collects or processes data.

عمومی سوالات

Does the plugin track multiple WhatsApp numbers on the same site?

Yes! The plugin automatically detects and tracks clicks for any WhatsApp number present in site links, whether static or dynamically generated.

Is it compatible with Elementor?

Yes. The plugin’s JavaScript tracker detects Elementor buttons and icons, automatically categorizing their location as "Widget Elementor”.

Does the GeoIP feature store sensitive user data?

No. Geographical data is retrieved solely to determine region and cached locally via Transients to prevent redundant external API requests. Additionally, GeoIP lookup can be completely disabled in the settings tab.

How does the Automatic Data Cleanup feature work?

The plugin has a configurable Automatic Cleanup (Auto-purge) option in the Settings tab, designed to prevent database bloat on high-traffic sites. When enabled, old click records will be permanently deleted automatically every day. BW4TEC is not responsible for any data loss resulting from the use of Automatic Cleanup. We recommend periodically exporting reports in CSV format if you need to retain a lifetime history of clicks.

Integration with Consent Plugins (LGPD)

The plugin offers native support for LGPD compliance via consent cookie verification. To enable:

  1. Go to Settings and check "Enable tracking only after consent (LGPD)”
  2. Enter the name of the cookie used by your consent plugin:
    • CookieYes: "cookieyes-consent” (value: "yes”)
    • Complianz: "complianz_consent_status” (value: "allow”)
    • Cookiebot: "CookieConsent” (value: "{necessary:true,preferences:true,statistics:true,marketing:true}”)
    • Borlabs Cookie: "borlabs-cookie” (value depends on configuration)

Example code for development:
add_filter(‘bw4tec_allow_tracking’, function($allow) {
return $allow && isset($_COOKIE[‘your_consent_cookie’]) && $_COOKIE[‘your_consent_cookie’] === ‘yes’;
});
